Delving into the profound connection between the human body and the natural world, celebrating the intrinsic bond that exists between the human essence and flora that surrounds us,
each piece is the contemplation of the plethora of experiences that parallel humans and the natural world.
Through a tapestry of botanical motifs and representations of the distorted human body form, the aim is to evoke a sense of unity and symbiosis. The intertwining of roots and limbs, and the mirroring shapes of curves and crevices, all speak to the shared journey of resilience and flourishing.
We are also confronted with the often-overlooked aspect of harshness that both humans and plants possess. This duality of softness and strength is captured in the juxtaposition of delicate petals with protective spikes, symbolizing the complex defenses that nature and humans alike have evolved.
The harshness in these works is not just a physical barrier, but a metaphor for the emotional and psychological fortitude that humans have cultivated throughout history. It speaks to the idea that beauty is not without its defenses, and that vulnerability is often guarded by an innate toughness. The pieces are not just passive entities; they are active symbols of survival and defiance.
